They have live music multiple time a week. Some nights attract more listeners than others, so maybe the jam session hosts invite regular players to join and build a loose band that gets a following.Galway arms has been my goth bar for several years. The food is very delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful and very engaging while still letting me relax a bit. They are great supporters of International Rugby especially the All Blacks and promote local Rugby. The locals in Galway City go to the skeff to watch the game, whatever it may be. I visited on like a super warm and sunny day, so I didn't get like the ~full~ experience. We love to grab a pint of Guinness and relax. My other half is of Irish descendent and we come here every Sunday night to listen to live performance of Irish music. It was not much to look at.

Along with the excellent service of Nolan and the bar staff, & always good grub, it is the song & music of PADDY HOMAN that raises the Galway Arms far above the ordinary. I usually notice how busy it is late at night, so I'd thought for the most part that it's a standard pub that just sells wings or tenders or snacks like that.
