The dialog seems natural, for once, as Norwegian acting have a history of being overly dramatic and static. November 1942. He wants to travel the world but didn't get any longer than to the lifeboat of Jernanger.
This is a stylistically impressive film, with a rather simple plot, allowing the characters to shine through. The night before Christmas 1969, the gas flare at the Ocean Viking is lit.
