Our faculty, comprised of both academic and community orthopedic surgeons, is committed to providing hands-on educational experiences, exposing residents to both the outpatient and operative treatment of patients with musculoskeletal issues. Throughout the program, residents are exposed to multiple facets of orthopedic surgery. It is intended that the resident will be well qualified to handle all aspects of general Orthopedic Surgical procedures and practice at the end of residency training. This program will provide a foundation for a lifetime of learning and practice of orthopedic surgery. The rotations provide exposure to both the outpatient and operative treatment of the patient with musculoskeletal issues while offering residents clinical experience with both academic and community orthopedic surgeons.Topics offered throughout the year include, but are not limited to: Spinal Cord Injury and Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury; Pediatric Spondylolisthesis, Spondylosis; Paget's Disease; Rheumatoid Arthritis of the Foot & Ankle; Peroneal & Other Tendon Injuries; Neuromuscular Disorders; and Ewing's Sarcoma.The Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine is dedicated to providing excellence in both undergraduate and graduate medical education, research and health care for New Jersey and the nation.
