It's made in China.

It is a good size for my hand and it has good balance. They are too expensive. Very board room ready pen, nice writer, good weight, smooth nib, it's on the large size but for me, it's just right. Lisa and I have this (almost) joke about S.T. Since the pen is long, uncapped could be nice for those with smaller hands, thus reducing some of the weight. The Fountain Pen Network uses (functional) cookies. The cap looks quite big and bulky.

But then when I received, I noticed the following things:Decent pen, but probably not one that I would buy again. I purchased the Sheaffer 330 Glossy Black, Chrome Plate Trim, fine point fountain pen.

I will write a piece about why fountain pens are great writing tools but I didn’t get into them because they were the best writers.

It has a smoothness to it which is only interrupted by a tiny scratchiness which actually works to give you some nice feedback. You can actually feel the cap posting on the barrel. My parents gave it to me when I finished school. When it first arried it arrived in the usual Sheaffer gift box Sheaffer pens come in - a very nice box and I did use it for storing the pen when I wasn’t using it but have since grown my collection and now store them all in a display case so the box is not effectively useless. Length: Capped: 140mm Uncapped: 120mm Posted: 154mmWeight: Cap & Barrel: 46g Cap: 23g Barrel: 23g (full ink resevoir)Materials: Black lacquered brass barrel with articulate pocket clip on capThe box it came in was quite nice, I think, but I’ve lost it.

You don’t mess up your hands every time it runs out of it. It feels like it was designed to actually sit in a pocket. But it looks grown-up.

I would recommend it to everyone especially at the price I paid for it, I would certainly pay a lot more for it!Dearest Member or Visitor of the little Fountain Pen Nut house on the digital prairie, If it were the $300 Legacy, I’d have a problem with it, but for this price point, it’s just fine. While the design on the nib is a far cry from some of the beautiful nibs of days past, it is neither over done, nor too simple as can be found on some other steel nibs. The Sheaffer 300 comes in a number of finishes, all with chrome trim and clips except for the black with gold filled version and brushed steel with gold filled trim. It can be uncomfortable to grip it for a long time as you do have to pinch it.

It is a good size for my hand and it has good balance. Since I gave it a cleaning the pen has been working great.

The $50-150 is a hard market in my opinion, especially when you are looking at companies like Sheaffer that really focus on premium pens. Charge me extra, I don’t care, I think it would be a fantastic looking pen and I’d get one in a heartbeat.

I hope you can enjoy one soon! The The Sheaffer 300 – One of the best modern pen performers of the year. The Sheaffer 300 is substantial in size, but almost deceptively so. Great weight, it is a little too heavy but with my big hands it actually angles right to write smoother. All are medium. The line is different, one of them is very thick another one is smaller.A good review! I’m bound to forget one step in the process and then people will wonder if the 8.5/10 I rated pen A really compares to the 8/10 I rated for pen B. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to suggest at least the gold filled cap to Sheaffer though. Good pen with enough heft to feel comfortable while writing without fatigue. In how they change and remain the same. I should comment that the brushed chrome version has all the good qualities of the gloss black pen and is about half the price. Anyway, on with the review! The coating has proved to be durable. I am a long time fan of Shaeffer pens.

Pens, especially fountain pens, mean so much more than their function. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. Please make sure that you are posting in the form of a question. What a pen that would be!Overall, I couldn’t be more impressed with the Sheaffer 300. Could be used to store more pens or different items entirely) or that could double as a pen case you could put in your pocket!

So there we have it, the Sheaffer 300. Maybe I’ll have to perform a real rotation, but then that seems like a lot of obsessive compulsive work. Give me a gold nib option on that pen too, but I could see how they might not, as it would drive the price way out of the range of the rest of the line.
