I honestly don’t know what happened. These are among the highest Step 1 scores of any specialty. We also noted out how some specialties require higher Step 1 scores than others. I was predicted at 253 for Step1 and I got hospitalized maybe 10 days before Step1 and couldn't study for 5 days. This post is a bit off topic, but I hope it can shed light on an important issue. USMLE has error. Those 13 likely had some very good connections and I wouldn't expect that to be you unless you want to bank on being a miracle. No respondents said they use 230 as a minimum Step 1 score to offer an interview at their programs. But I wasn’t perfect. I have no idea what happened but you sir/madam are not alone.Damn.
