Description: Kayaking 101 is a program designed for those who have no experience or very little and want to become comfortable using a kayak. We will discuss the different types of kayaks, boating regulations and entry and exit techniques and generally how to safely use a kayak on different bodies of water. Once everyone is comfortable we will travel down Lake Acorn to its end and come back to the dock which will take approximately 45 minutes. I recommend that participants dress in clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.
